Throughout my career, I’ve built cognitive AI systems (software minds) for humanoid robots and filed patents on humanoid interfaces and ethical human-robot interaction. I’ve led engineering teams on the creation and delivery of AI Digital People (embodied agents with AI brains and conversational systems) for Hollywood. Recently, I founded an AI R&D startup that deployed the internet’s largest Model Inference API (160k+ models) and powers NeurIPS and CVPR. I like investing in heretical technical founders in hardware and AI. Often, I think about what makes us human.
I am the daughter of NUIT. We are a synth-pop duo interested in sound, liminality, and the chthonic.
In 2016, I founded Women Who Code Vancouver. In four years, I grew our community from 0 to over 4000 techlords. Together, we changed tech culture in Vancouver.
I have a background in anthropology. Once, I wrote a thesis on death rituals and symbolic immortality.
I know too much about ikebana and Japanese Death Poetry.
In my spare time, I program analog synthesizers, do machine learning, develop 35mm film, and talk to rebellious thinkers vs. systems of power.
