I’m an instigator, operator, and technical founder whose mission is to apply machine intelligence for human flourishing. With a background in robotics, cognitive computing, and AI product strategy, I've carved a niche in innovating R&D go-to-market approaches.As Vice President of Special Projects at Soul Machines, I oversaw the creation and delivery of AI virtual characters — embodied agents with cognitive models and conversational systems — for top-tier brands and Hollywood. In a prior role at Soul Machines, I collaborated with product and Oscar-winning animation teams to ensure successful deployment of these AI characters in production, while pioneering new business models around the monetization of digital likenesses. Before that, as Director of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) at Sanctuary AI, I built cognitive architecture — the 'software minds' — of humanoid robots and created IP on ethical human-robot interaction.In 2016, I founded Women Who Code Vancouver, a community I grew from 0 to 4000 techlords in 5 years. I’m a BC Business 30 Under 30, a 4x Microsoft MVP in Artificial Intelligence – 1 of 6 in Canada – and recipient of the Udacity x Intel scholarship in Edge AI. Recently, I was profiled in YouTube’s 'The Age of AI', narrated by Robert Downey Jr., the first episode of which has seen 41+ million views. In 2020, I launched a video podcast called THE HERETIC, about rebellious thinkers vs. systems of power. On weekends, I play with my polyphonic synthesizers, read grimoires, and develop 35mm film. I’ve led engineering teams on the creation and delivery of AI Digital People (embodied agents with AI brains, personalities, and conversational systems) for T1 brands and Hollywood. Most recently, I founded an AI R&D startup powering top ML research conferences like NeurIPS and CVPR and built the largest Model Inference API on the internet (160k+ models across 33 ML tasks). I like investing in heretical technical founders and exploring mythic worldbuilding, especially where it intersects with frontier robotics and embodied AI.
